The SLEEVES 2 ROD 60MM is a heat-shrink fusion splice protection sleeve that reinforces and seals fusion-spliced optical fibre. A meltable inner tube, heat-shrink outer sleeve and precision stainless-steel strength member keep the splice aligned, strain-free and protected for decades of service.

OUTER PROTECTION TUBE
Transparent heat-shrink tubing provides external protection while allowing visual inspection of the fiber splice.
HOT MELT ADHESIVE
Provides a strong, moisture-sealing bond around the splice point.
STAINLESS STEEL STRENGTH MEMBER
Adds mechanical strength and prevents micro-bending of the splice.
Installation
Protection in Three Simple Steps

FUSION SPLICE
Two optical fibers are precisely fused together using a fusion splicing machine.

POSITION THE SLEEVE
The ELICA-FIBER protection sleeve is placed over the fusion splice point.

HEAT & PROTECT
The sleeve shrinks around the splice inside the fusion splicer heating oven, creating a strong protective structure.
